Music
My first band was called Xyphoid, which means "shaped like a sword." I was 12. We played one concert. Our set list comprised two songs, one of which was a cover of Black Sabbath's "Paranoid." The other song was an original number the memory of which has been conveniently repressed. We were booed off the stage by a roomful of 7th-graders demanding tracks from Chicago's "17" album. For some reason, I kept at it. Here is a partial list of other bands I have played in:
The Human Oddities (bass)
Childress (bass, vocals)
The Feebles (bass)
Chicken Soup, Boots (guitar, vocals)
The Swamp Coolers (drums, occasional vocals and guitar)
Braddy Janet (drums)
The Young Adults (bass, vocals)
Breaker 19 (drums)
Danny Kenworth (guitar, vocals)
The Danny & Daisy Duo (guitar, vocals, with the late Jessica Grace Wing)
I have also done sound design and written and performed music for New York City's Inverse Theater Company, including:
Midnight Brainwash Revival (sound design and some music composition in collaboration with the late Jessica Grace Wing; performed live music during three runs of this play) - Read New York Times review
The American Revolution (music composition)
Icarus and Aria (sound design)

Xyphoid, eh? I guess that's a new SAT word, but my spell check doesn't recognize it, so I'll hold off on using it in conversation.
Yeah, not recommended. We were 12 and pulled it out of a dictionary.
